Artists Una Keeley & Daniel Cullen

Daniel and Una relocated their home and studio to Wexford in 2006. They moved from Swords where they recently created 'Open Ground' the largest public ceramic sculptural garden in Ireland, comprising of 31 individual pieces. The work was commissioned for the forecourt of Fingal County Councils award winning, 40 million euro Headquarters in Swords. Although 'Open Ground' was an artistic collaboration between Daniel and Una, they mainly work as independent artists.

Keeley's passion for art has taken many forms, including awards for early sculptural work, a successful career as a jeweler and a distinguished career in the field of Art Education, culminating in a Masters degree from NCAD 2007. It was during her residency on IMMA's Artist Work programme in 1995 that she rekindled her first love 'Painting'.

An avid drawer since an early age, Keeley brings considerable draftsmanship to her painting. Organic forms have always featured in her work as she explores themes of growth, transformation and groundedness. The rich textured surfaces and deep earth colours of her paintings, echoing her many years as a ceramic sculptor.

In 2009 Keeley completed a Diploma in Illustration for Children's Books and a Diploma in Writing for Children's Books.

Daniel is a self-taught ceramic sculptor, noted in particular for his large hand built work. His depiction of Celtic mythical tales in large stone like sculptures has led to several commissions for the new wave of national schools being built around the country. His work is in increasing demand from both private and public collectors and currently forms part of the O.P.W. National Art Collection.

Much of his current work takes its inspiration from Christian and Pre-Christian mythology. His re-interpretation of iconic imagery invites the viewer to re-examine their contemporary psychological and spiritual significance.
